(WJET/WFXP)– Following the release of the 2026 Fortune 500 list, Erie’s only company to make it has climbed 15 spots from last year.
Erie Insurance announced their rise in the rankings with the annual release of the 500 largest companies by revenue, ascending from 325th to 308th, even with the bar being raised for companies this year.
For the 72nd annual list, Erie Insurance said companies incorporated in, operating in and filing financial statements in the United States had to bring in $7.5 in revenue, which was 5% more than last year.
This year marked the 23rd year in a row Erie Insurance made the list, something their CEO said reflects how the dedication of their employees has helped earn trust.
“Our place on the Fortune 500 reflects the trust our customers place in ERIE and the dedication our employees and agents bring to serving them every day,” said Tim NeCastro, president and chief executive officer. “For more than a century, ERIE has grown by staying true to the values that have guided us from the beginning and by maintaining a commitment to service that puts people first.”
Erie Insurance debuted on the Fortune 500 list in 2003, ranked 454th.
