It’s a day to celebrate your favorite drink, and brands are bringing out the deals.The versatile drink has entire fast-food chains dedicated to creating different smoothies, whether it’s full of protein, veggies, fruits or a mix of all three.This year, the celebration will also fall on the same day as the summer solstice, which marks the first day of summer, and Father’s Day.Smoothie chains and other restaurants are celebrating the holiday with discounts and freebies, giving fans of the beverage a cool way to kick off the summer season.

Smoothie King
Smoothie King is offering free smoothies to kick off the first day of summer and celebrate National Smoothie Day, according to a news release emailed to USA TODAY.
Healthy Rewards Members can receive a free 12-ounce Hydration Watermelon Smoothie from participating locations on Sunday, June 21.

Tropical Cafe
Tropical Cafe will offer Tropic Rewards members a free 24-ounce smoothie if they buy a Tropic Bowl or food on Sunday, June 21, when they place an order online through tropicalsmoothiecafe.com or through the Tropical Cafe app.
The deal excludes Toasted Snack Rolls, Sunshine Smoothie, sides, sweets and kids food items, according to the chain’s website. It is only valid at participating locations.

Planet Smoothie
On Sunday, June 21, Planet VIP Rewards members who sign up by Friday, June 19, can receive a free 20-ounce Lunar Lemonade, according to Planet Smoothie’s website. No purchase is required to redeem the offer.

Jamba
Jamba is offering discounted drinks throughout the weekend.
On Saturday, June 20, customers can purchase a small Watermelon Over Ice or Strawberry Lemon Twist Over Ice for $2, according to a news release emailed to USA TODAY.
Then, on Sunday, June 21, customers can purchase a small Mango-A-Go-Go or Strawberry Whirl smoothie for $1 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. local time at participating locations nationwide. The first 100 guests at locations will also receive a scratch off for a chance to win free smoothies for a year.
Finally, on Monday, June 22, Jamba Rewards members can receive $2 off their smoothies when they order in store or through the app. To sign up to become a member, visit Jamba’s website or download the app from the Apple Store or Google Play.
Playa Bowls
Participating Playa Bowls locations nationwide will give Playa Rewards Loyalty Members a free color-changing cup with the purchase of a 20-ounce smoothie while supplies last on Sunday, June 21, Trinette Robinson, a general manager at a Playa Bowl location in Miami, confirmed to USA TODAY.
