Goalkeeper Sergio Rochet and Manuel Ugarte were also reportedly present in front of Bielsa. Their intention was to convey that his methods are not appreciated by the squad. Likewise, they criticized the excessive physical demands and the intensity he imposes daily in preparation.
The internationals argued that the daily wear and tear in training could be the reason for the team’s poor performances in matches. They also warned him that this level of intensity significantly increases the risk of injuries.
