William J. Burns is Biden’s nominee for CIA director

President-elect Joe Biden announced Monday he has chosen veteran diplomat William Burns to be his CIA director. Burns has spent 33 years at the U.S. State Department and served as ambassador to Russia and Jordan in his career.
