On a night without Aliyah Boston and a limited Caitlin Clark, the Indiana Fever found themselves disconnected defensively.
Caitlin Clark is expected to return from a brief absence for the Indiana Fever‘s game on Sunday, July 12, against the Las Vegas Aces.
The former Iowa star missed the second night of Indiana’s back-to-back, a 92–89 win over the Phoenix Mercury, on Thursday, July 9. She had just returned from a back injury in the Fever’s 106–92 loss to the Los Angeles Sparks on July 8, and coach Stephanie White said beforehand she would sit out Thursday night.
Against the Sparks, Clark was on a minutes restriction, playing 16 minutes and finishing with 9 points on 4-of-12 shooting, along with 4 rebounds and 3 assists.
She said after the loss to the Sparks that she hopes her minutes limit can be raised to 25 when the Fever play on Sunday.
