HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Authorities said they located a missing 6-year-old girl and canceled an AMBER Alert issued Saturday morning.
The girl was last seen around 6:30 p.m. Friday in the 12300 block of 12th Street in Dickinson, the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office said.
Saturday morning, Constable Mark Herman said deputies had located the girl and arrested 36-year-old James Ramirez.
Herman said Ramirez is the ex-boyfriend of the girl’s mother, but not the child’s biological father.
Ramirez and the girl were located in La Marque, Texas.
The girl was being checked out by EMS as a precautionary measure before being returned to her mother.

“Outstanding work by our Special Operations Unit, Special Victims Unit Investigators, law enforcement partners, and everyone involved in bringing this case to a safe resolution,” Herman said.
