“Praying on People Downfalls”: Fever Teammate Breaks Silence After Criticism From Caitlin Clark Fan Following Win Over Aces

Written by

The Indiana Fever made light work of the A’ja Wilson-less defending champions without Caitlin Clark. After a fairly even first half, the Fever found their groove in the third and ran away with the game. Despite the win, not everybody had the best day, as Tyasha Harris had just four points while going 0-4 from the field. It led to some sharp criticism on social media, which was followed by an even sharper answer that gave fans a peek into the locker room atmosphere of the Fever.

“Y’all be praying on people downfalls … y’all ain’t got to put down others to support y’all fav,🙃” Harris wrote in response to a now-deleted tweet. “Had a bad shooting night for sure, but we got the dub, and what does that helps our team as a whole and whoever is your fav! We all trynna help in any way we can.”

Harris is pointing out the individualistic approach of some of the Indiana Fever fanbase. However, while the fan had deleted their previous tweet on Harris, they commented back, apologizing.

“My bad, Ty! The first part was a bad attempt at sarcasm. I actually thought you played well, had a solid game & did exactly what the Fever needed you to do. It was my terrible attempt to say you had a good game even if the stat sheet wasn’t flashy. I just deleted the post since I obviously gave the wrong impression. Sorry about that. 😬,” the same fan wrote.

Some of the Fever supporters are really fans of just Caitlin Clark rather than the team, which is a widely observed dynamic.
